2006 was the year when Volvo released its new addition- Volvo C30 at the Paris Motor show. This is a ahtchback model with three dors and four seats. The Volvo C30 is absolutly perfect for the city traffic – it’s a compact car with the power, stability and luxury outfit of a sedan vehicle. This model is built on the platform of Ford Focus. The first time it was introdused to the public in Europe was in 2006 while in the USA and Canada this event happened after 1 year. This is a car that combines power and inovation . the Volvo C30 was received by the customers and the critics with mixed reviews. Some like the rare portion of the vehicle, while others say that it looks like full size sedan but flattened in the back part.
And of course C30 has all the features that are tipical for a Volvo- safety first combined with passenger comfort. This models supplies information for the blind spot by a Blind Spot Information System that gives the driver an unabstructed view of the blind spot. Other features are the ABS, stability control, traction control, air back protection- front and side air backs. The bracking preassure and steering precision are observed by an Intelligent Driver Information System . everything is made to keep the driver and the passengers safe and in comfort position.
Volvo C30 is provided with both diesel and gasoline engine. The difference is in horsepowers. 2.5l turbocharged gasoline engine produses 227 hp while the 2.4l diesel engine produses 180 hp. The model can be easily upgraded and customised which is one of the reasons to be compared to Honda Civic.
In 2007 at the Frankfurt Auto Show was presented the hybrid model of Volvo C30. This inovative vehicle can run on both diesel and electricity with a simple plug in to an outlet. The prediction is that this hybrid model will be released in 2009 or 2010. According to many critics and car specialists this is the future in the car industry- electricity.
In 2008 Volvo C30 will be relesed in the USA presented by the 2.5 turbocharged gasoline engine. Whithin the next years when the hybrid C30 is released on the market byers around the world will find this unique hatchback design

Inside, the practicality is clearly not the main priority, there is room for only four people. The consequences of broad shoulders outside the narrow rear cabin. Instead of squeezing on the bench, Volvo has fitted two chairs, but it really works very well, allowing adults to sit comfortably. Only pity is not easy to access, you first have to fold the front seat, and then use a separate switch to slide forward.
This Volvo C30 Concept is impressive from the engine power point of view, coming equipped with a 2.5 liter capacity turbo engine, the same from Ford Focus RS, which is able to develop up to 405 horsepower and a torque of 510 Nm. Volvo C30 is equipped with a AWD Haldex traction and a Quaife differential.
